Ottawa: Adventures in Canada's Capital

Recently, I packed my bags and ventured to the capital of Canada... all on my own. As a 21 year old, I was fortunate enough to discover and explore the beautiful city of Ottawa. I am a Sagittarius and based on astrology I am an adventureer. This I was, I love to experience what the world has to offer and in doing so I not only matured, but these experiences have enriched my life.

I can not stress enough how much this experienced has helped me grow and I highly encourage you to try to traveling alone or just travel in general. Our world is so big and filled with so many exciting and wonderful treasures. No photo can ever do a scenery justice.

I'd like to share with you some of the amazing places I was able to see this trip:

Th peace tower is obviously a must see! It is an amazing place to get a view of the whole centre block  and colonial government buildings.

One of the coolest things I was able to do is to see Parliament Hill from Quebec.

When in Ottawa, I highly recommend the restaurant The Works as it is a cute little burger place that serves their drinks in measuring cups and use light bulbs as their salt and pepper shakers... weird right? But kind of cool at the same time!

Ottawa is a government town, and 'the' place to expand your knowledge of Canadian politics and see the daily routines of members in the government. There are daily tours for those interested in seeing the layout and details of this historical landmark. When parliament is in session, the public has an opportunity to hear the Members of Parliament speak and debate amongst their colleges.

My favourite part about this trip was being able to explore everything on my own terms. This why I encourage you to travel on your own. Doing something that you are afraid of makes you grow. Lets be honest, I was definitely nervous about journeying to a place alone; however, now I can say that I have done it and the whole experience was immensely rewarding.

Thanks for reading!

Sincerely,
