School Survival Guide: De-Stress

hhh
Hey everyone! Happy Saturday! As a third part of surviving school guide, I thought it would be a nice idea to talk about ways I like to de-stress during the busy semester.

So its almost the end of the semester and its that final rush before summer. The end is near, but it is all very stressful! I hear you, I've been there.

I always think that it is such a positive thing to time some time for yourself, especially this time of year. I'm a busy girl and I'm constantly on-the-go juggling a bunch of different tasks, but throughout the years I've also found that taking sometime for myself really helps me to maintain my happiness and sanity.

If you haven't read my post about staying organized, stop now and go read it! Staying organized enables me to make time to relax, make time for friends and enjoy my hobbies.

Here are some of my favourite ways to de-stress: (Calm girl, I got you covered ;) )

1) Making time with your friends: Make an effort to go for lunch or drinks with girlfriends or a close friend. Talk about boys and have a little time off from studying and school work. This might seem common sense, but during a busy school year, sometimes we really neglect those close to us. As I have gotten older, I've learned that the support system from those close to you is apart of the reason why you are the way you are. Amazing, hard working and great!

2) Make time for yourself before bed: This is something that makes me the most sane and what I live by! Dim the lights, light a candle, wear your most cozy pjs, hot tea and watch a few Vlogs before bed.

3) Netflix: I like to reward myself with an episode of my favourite show AFTER i finish all my homework for that day. (I'm loving Suits, Scandal and How to get Away with Murder atm, how about you?)

4) Schedule in sometime for hobbies: For me, my guilty please is shopping and browsing at stores. This keeps me inspired and grow my knowledge on new trends. Nothing makes me more happy than being inspired by little things in life.

5) Being Thankful: I'm very appreciative of all the little things life has to offer, and I take in one day at a time. Living in the moment really helps to de-stress.

6) Make Lists: If I have lots of things to do, I write a list of tasks. Writing it down tells your brian not to panic, you will get it done one at a time.

I'd love to hear your tips! Leave me a comment!

Like always, thanks for reading!

Sincerely,
