Whistler

Hey lovelies! So during my Vancouver trip, I had the pleasure of stopping by Whistler for a day.

It was a cute little town with cute little shops and a variety of pubs.

The landscape was one of the best parts. Surrounded by mountains at every turn, it was cool to see the amazing offerings of mother nature.

Where did you visit this summer? Let me know in the comments!

Thanks for stopping by!

Vancouver - A Voyage To The City

Hey! So this summer has been a little more chill because I'm moving, but I still wanted to go on a short getaway, so I went on a short trip to Vancouver! I'm super thankful for living in the West coast because there is so much that mother nature has to offer.

I'm in Vancouver quite a lot, but I've never actually taken the time to explore what the city had to offer in regards to its tourist hotspots. I thought I'd share a few of my must-see places and some fun tips for those who wish to visit this thriving city!

Places to see:

1. The Olympic Cauldron: Although Vancouver held the winter olympics a while back, their olympic torch sits in Waterfront with a view that overlooks North Vancouver and the Costal Mountains. What makes this region of the West so fascinating is its unique landscape.

2. Capilano Suspension Bridge: If you're afraid of heights, this one may not be for you. I'm not big on heights, but it was a cool experience and I got an amazing view! ;)

3. Granville Island: Granville Island is home to a farmers market, sail boats and beer. As the Emily Carr University sits in the centre, theres no doubt that its home to art and amazing craftsmanship! This was one of my favourite places to go. Nothing is better than enjoying drinks and relaxing with an amazing landscape.

4. Waterfront: This was another favourite. I love architecture and I love the seeing the differences in structures among cities. Its what gives each city personality. A drive through Vancouver's downtown will give you a sense of the everyday life of a busy individual. Waterfront is home to Canada place and overlooks the downtown core, where you can take in the beauty the city has to offer.

5. Science World, BC Place and Rogers Arena: Science world is a must see because of its unique structure. I has always reminded me of a golf ball, but it too sits on the water and its a great place to chill and relax and really take in the landscape.

6. Richmond Night Market: This is what makes Vancouver stand out. Every summer Richmond hosts a weekend night market that homes a variety of food, clothing, tech and accessory vendors.

Eat:

When in Vancouver, finding great places to eat is my objective. Vancouver is such a diverse city and offers a  huge range of amazing types of food. (It is a foodies' dream)

1. Cafe Medina: Although I have not yet tried this place, I've heard amazing thing, so as a foodie of course this is on my list of things to do in Vancouver.

2. Le Petit Belge: If you have a sweet tooth or craving something savoury, I'm loving the cute little waffle place I found on Yelp.

3. Granville Island Brewery: I love just sitting and relaxing over drinks and this place is just a super casual place to rest and hangout.

Where to shop:

Shopping is one of the main reasons I go to Vancouver. (Vancouver is the place to be for handbag-obsessed girls like me! haha)

1. Burrard St.: This street is like Rodeo Drive in LA, its where the high end designers have set up shop. Or you could go to just window shop.

2. Richmond Center: Amongst the craze in Richmond, this is my go-to mall for shopping when I'm in Vancouver. It's convenient because its out of the municipality of Vancouver, but its still large enough that theres great shopping and food. It's convent for travellers who wants to catch the ferry to Vancouver Island.

3. Pacific Center: At the heart of downtown, and the centre of all the action. Here you'll find Nordstrom and Holt Renfrew. Also super convent as the sky train stops at this mall.

4. Robson St.: When you wanna get outdoors to enjoy the city, Robson Street is great for shopping and full of restaurants.

5. Metrotown: Metrotown is in Burnaby and if your feet are not yet sore from walking and exploring, Metrotown is a great pitstop to do a bit of shopping and resting.

6. McGlen Arthur: Feeling like doing some outlet shopping? This is a newer outlet by the Vancouver airport and has discounted items from Coach, Banana Republic and Nike to name a few.

I will be updating this page frequently as I venture to Vancouver super often. The city is so big and there are always new adventures that awaits ;)

Have you ever been to Vancouver? If so, do you have any recommendations?

Summer Style Report

Summer Style Report

Summer Style Report

Hey lovelies! I’m thrilled that it is actually starting to feel like summer in Western Canada! This means I can break out the cute summer outfit I’ve been saving since forever!

These are some of my favorite trendy items for this season and some great picks for summer vacations outfits!

I’ve also been getting inspiration from a blue and white pallet that corresponds to the blue summer skies we have been seeing. Summer is the time to pull out your baby blues and all your brightest pieces!

This summer we are seeing the off-the-shoulder trend continue and I think it looks so effortless yet, chic and put together. It is a great summer vacation staple. This summer I loved thin vertical stripes on off-the-shoulder tops and many stores carry are this:

We are also seeing lots of burgundy this summer and although it is normally a fall/winter colour, it is such a vibrant colour for summer (which is amazing because its my favourite colour).

Matching separates are still very popular and is a very simple paring for the summer. They are great for those days where you do not know what to wear and want to look put together. It’s like not trying, but still looking like you put some thought into your outfit. What is great about these set outfits are that that are also extremely versatile. They can be pared together or apart.

Summer obviously screams beaches and tanning. Bikinis used to be a practical and obvious item to bring to the beach, but it has become a trendy piece with retailers offering a variety of fun styles. I’m loving this one shown above as it is like a modern take on a vintage 60’s bikini.

What are you loving for summer? Let me know in the comments!

Off to the Beach

Off to the Beach

Hey lovelies! These are a few of my must haves for summer!

I know its already adjust, but theres still plenty of sunshine left to come! This summer I'm loving floats and they are practically everywhere!

Fruits are sorta odd to be super trendy, but as summer is fruit season, why not add a little fruity fun to your summer? I'm loving anything with watermelon, pineapple and lemons!

Of the shoulder tops are a must have as well a super cute Parisian-insipred hate! So effortless and chic!

I'm obsessed with anything with tassels recently! I feel like it adds a touch of boho to and girly number! (LOVE LOVE LOVE it!) We are seeing a ton of pom moms mixed with tassels on sandals and these are a great DIY project! You can re-vamp old sandals and add a touch of flirty an fun! Since these would make such a statement it would look great with a little black dress or a little white dress.

At the beach we can not forget the beach hair. I love this salt spray from bumble and bumble. I love this product even on days I'm not going the beach. I love curling my hair and this products give amazing texture to my curls and makes it look more effortless and messy.

What are your summer loves?
