Black and White - Bell Sleeves and Leather

Hey there darling,

We are working with a neutral pallet today, where the focus is on the details rather than on patterns and colours. Playing with textures and structural elements can really elevate a neutral outfit and change the way we pair neutrals together. As a lover of black, whites and greys, a basic outfit consisting of a basic black sweater, black denim and a pair of black booties can get real boring, real fast. The contrast between different fabrics is a great way to add dimension to create a polish and styled look.

The focal point here is on the bell sleeves and leather skirt, neutral in concept, but a glamorous and intersting duo. You do not need a powerful red dress to capture attention, a polished neural look and speak for itself.

With a focus on these key elements my shopping lists consists of skirts, blouses or coats that are neutral in colour, but stand out in its design.

Here are my outfit details:

A Little Rustic - Greys, Neutrals and Simplicity

Hey there lovelies!

I am definitely a city girl at heart and I love all things urban, but sometimes it is nice to reflect on the little elements in nature. Now that the weather is nicer, the mosquitoes are not swarming yet, and the days are longer, evening stroll by a cute park is how I'm spending my evenings. I'm so grateful that my city offers both an escape to nature, but also modern coffee shops and retail stops.

Here are my outfit details:

Coat: Banana Republic (similar here)
Sweater: H&M (similar here)
Bottoms: Joe Fresh (similar here at H&M)

Styling Classics - Houndstooth and Monochrome

Hey there lovelies!

The weather has been warming up significantly in the last few weeks, but I still can't manage to strip off my thigh high boots. They still go perfectly with my spring attire and are extremely versatile paired with blazers, denim and leather. They are the perfect last little touch to complete and outfit. The thigh high boots add a playful youthfulness to an otherwise dressy-business look. This houndstooth blazer adds a textural element and interest to a normal pant and suit combo.

Here are my outfit details:

Fringe, Fringe - Blush Pink and Leather

Hey there lovelies!

Currently, my favourite place to shop has been Club Monaco (and I am not getting paid to say that). Everything there is so my style, from the feminine silhouettes to the charming girly ruffles. Their pieces are tailored to perfection and I'm a sucker for blush pink trench. Once an eclectic collection of trendy pieces from a variety of retailers, my closet has almost been over come with a mass collection of Club Monaco items. Club Monaco can be pricey when new arrivals first hit the racks, but I love finding treasures in their sale selection.

I'm a shopper of the sales; I love finding the hidden treasures among the sale racks and scoring an adorable number for a fraction of the price. Club Monaco's summer and winter clearances are the best times to score amazing deals. And if you are lucky enough to live close to a Club Monaco outlet store, items can be marked down to 60% off the sale price!

Here are my outfit details:

Top: Club Monaco (similar here, here and here) (also love this)
Coat: Club Monaco (similar here)
Gloves: Sears
Bottoms: H&M
Earrings: Call It Spring (Dior inspired) (more options here and here)
Booties: Zara (similar here)

Contemporary Paring - Nude, Reds and Asymetrics

Hey there lovelies!

I'm loving all the subtle details that make up this look. As a gal not super huge into printed fabrics, structural elements tend to capture more of my attention. I tend to gravitate to solids, and in order to dress up my solids, I look towards the little details to make my outfits chic and effortless. The details in the asymmetric skirt paired with the thigh-high boots adds and peek-a-boo effect that provides and extra element of depth. Touches of gold adds an element of glamour, which I adore.

This outfit is chic, comfortable and very wearable. I love thigh-high boots, paired with dresses and/or skirts with longer coats -- longer coats provide a warmth as well as makes the look more conservative and casual.

Here are my outfit details:

Top: Forever 21 (also love this and this)
Trench Coat: Forever 21 (similar here and here)
Skirt: Aritzia (also love this, this and this)(love and own this)
Thigh-High Boots: Marc Fisher (also love these)
Earrings: House of Harlow (similar here)

Sunday's are for Brunch and Darling Tweeds

Hey there lovelies!

My go to chic look is styling a fun blazer along side an all black ensemble. A black canvas is perfect when trying to style a statement piece like this super fun tweed blazer. It enables me to play with textures and colours and have the blazer be the main focal point. Blazers are perfect for days that I want to be comfortable and casual, but I still desire a put together look.

Here are a few other blazer options that I'm obsessed with:
