Summer Edit

Summer Edit

Hey lovelies! Happy (officially) summer!

This season I'm super excited to rock the pastels of spring, monochromatic white outfits and bold pops of colour.

I'm always a sucker for scalloped detailing. I love how feminine and sophisticated it is as well as how it gives an outfit a subtle detail. I have definitely filled my summer wardrobe with tons of scalloped pieces!

I feel like the Gucci trend still has a lot of life in it as I feel like cool Gucci loafers are the perfect accent to a summer outfit.

Its not summer without breaking out a cool and relaxed stripped top, especially a pinstripe top. Pinstripe, in particularly in blue tone have especially been trending and I find that they are perfect paired with ripped denim and a statement bag.

I'm also seeing a ton of bows and tie detail, especially on sleeves and as belts for skirts. I'm actually loving how bows and ties add a subtle detail to a plain outfit. I have for sure been guilty of buying a ton of pieces with bows and ties. Sleeves with bow ties give interest to a basic top and looks well-though out without actually trying.

What are you edited to wear for summer? I'd love to know!

Thanks for stopping by!

Currently Yearning

Currently Yearning

It's Monday... Here is some inspiration to get us through the week. I'm a lover of luxury, and here are some of the items I'm currently lusting over.

I'm currently loving smaller wallets as they are not only compact and lighter, but it prevents me from carrying unnecessary cards that I don't regularly need. I'm loving this.

If you have been following me for a while, you would know I'm a handbag fanatic. Here are a few I'm currently coveting: this Prada and this one shown above; the Diorama.

We must also emphasize the beauty in these Valentino Rockstud flats and this Balmain blazer. I'm also lusting over this Balmain sweater and this jacket by Givenchy is gorg!

It's always nice to have goals to work towards. What are you currently yearning?

How To Wear Fringe

How To Wear Fringe
Happy

Trends come and go, and basics are always here to stay; however, I believe that life is too short not to experiment and try out trends and have fun with textures!

Fringe has been a trendy staple and has really made its way into modern fashion. It is such a cute twist on the boho-chic vibes, but as a girl that loves to take street-chic a little more class here are a few ways I'd personally style fringe.

A cute fringe skirt in a neutral colour is a perfect way to incorporate texture and wear this fringe fad. pairing it with with other neutrals down plays the 'statement' and actually makes the piece very wearable for a number of occasions. My rule of thumb when in doubt is opt for black. Black is so versatile but a monochromatic look is also very chic (it's like you tried, but you actually didn't).

Fringe accessories have been a must this season! From Aquazzura to Rebecca Minkoff, fringe is seen as such a statement item. A subtle way to add fringe into a casual outfit is to dress it up with a pair of fringe heels. However, if you want to keep it casual, fringe booties are a great pairing.

If the trend is too daring a top with subtle fringe details is a go-to for the unsure ;). Add some fun shorts or a fun blazer to spice up the outfit.

How do you wear fringe? I'd love to know!

How To Wear Monochromatic

How To Wear Monochromatic

Hello everyone! Today we are going to talk all about the trend monochromatic. I am obsessed with this trend and for many reasons.

One reason why I love is trend so much is because anyone can pull it off. Using a neutral pallet, this modern look is easily pulled off using staples already in your closet.

For starters, black is a staple for many and an all black look does not look dull, pairing the correct structures and textures together makes this contemporary outfit look effortless and very sophisticated. This is easily done with a pair of black booties, black skinny jeans and a black t-shirt. Top it off with a black jacket of choice and you'll look super chic (and it will look like you put more effort into your outfit than you actually did).

If your feeling a little more risky try using a white or a nude pallet. It's risky enough to look different, but not too eye catching. Whoever said that you can't wear white pants after Labor Day has really got it all wrong. White pants pair very nicely with winter coats, but maybe white should not be worn on rainy days. Pairing camel colours has been very popular lately and is very classy when paired right.

If you are feeling bold and you want to stand out, I'd personally would go for a pant-suit in a jewled-tone colour. A royal blue blazer and royal blue pants paired with a white bow-tie blouse are sure to turn heads.

Thanks for stopping by! What which way would you wear it? I'd love to know!

Cranberry and Neutrals

Cranberry and neutrals
This fall look is inspired by the change in seasons and the colours represented in the photos. It's a great transition piece from summer to fall and pulls together the textures of the colder months and a sleeveless silhouette to help dress for that awkward transition.

Fall is represented in the red hues and browns, like the change in leaves in the autumn time. This time of year also means that we are one step closer to the holiday months; thus, I have paired these fall tones with some sequent patterns to showcase the approaching winter months.

Thanks for reading and I hope this helps with the summer-fall transition!

Sincerely,
