Winter Wardrobe Essentials Every Busy Girl Needs

Winter Wardrobe Essentials
It's almost Winter time and although I am not a fan of the cold, I love the transitions of seasons! this means that I can incorporate new pieces into my everyday style! I can finally bring out that pea coat that I've been waiting almost a year to wear!

The weather is going to be different depending on which part of the world you are from, for me, on the Pacific coast the weather does not fall past -4 degrees Celsius. Layering is a trendy way to bundle up and look like a million bucks!

An essential for this season is a warm peacoat because it will not only keep you warm, but it provides a girl touch to any outfit. Playing with a jewel-toned peacoat gives interest to a traditional grey or black one.

After a long night of watching Netflix, I usually end up rushing in the mornings. A staple I like to start with, when I have limited time in the mornings, is a white sweater, black jeans and black booties. Black and whites will match anything and I could easily pair them a ruby red coat or an emerald green jacket. This will make it seem like I tried in the morning without actually trying and can liven up the misery of the cold ;).

A black leather jacket can always add an element of toughness, and is a great layering piece. I also love a nice, sturdy black handbag for winter and almost all year long as it is great to throw all your belongs in.

Scarves are an important essential in the winter time and a fun print can pull an outfit together.

I hope this will help those early mornings!

Sincerely,

Host/Hostess Gifts for Holiday Dinner Parties

Host/Hostess Gifts

I hope everyone is having a good day!

Holiday season is just right around the corner, meaning good food and plenty of laughs with friends. It's also the time of year when we get invited to special gatherings, family dinners, and festive functions.

I feel that it is common courtesy to bring a gift to any dinner party you may be invited too, but finding the perfect gift can sometimes be confusing. I have complied a list of unique and functional gifts for inspiration that will hopefully be of help while finding something for your host/hostess.

Wine is always a great way to start, its wide selection will enable you to stay within a budget, while making it seem like a good gesture. If wine is not your thing, a great idea is champagne or if you want to be a little more fancy, play it up with some rose.

Flowers are also great! They always bring an element of happiness. I love hydrangeas, or seasonal flowers would work perfectly. Stay away from carnations or generic flowers though, they can seem tacky. Basil plants are also nice, and well appreciated.

Another great gift are candles, I love ones from Jo Malone and Bijou. Yankee candle is always a nice go-to.

Chocolates, who doesn't love them? Compartes is a chocolatier based in LA and has a great selection of flavours. Has anyone ever heard of Cactus flavoured chocolate? Well your host/hostess probably hasn't either; thus, it's a great and fun thing to try!

I hope you have gotten some inspiration!

It's Golden: Style Inspiration for Holiday Parties

It's Golden

Hello everyone! I hope all is well, today's style inspiration comes from gold holiday tones! Holiday season is right around the corner, meaning that we are all making plans for fun festive activities!

If you got invited to a holiday party, you've come to the right blog post. I have lots of clothes, but I am always finding that I have the most trouble finding the perfect outfit for events.

Special events are great places to play-up your style. I have always been a fan of dressing up basic pieces and black leather pants are always a go-to and a good start. Not only are they stylish, edgy and chic, they can be dress up or down.

When paired with basic neutral colours statement blazers are perfect for a bold look. It's the holiday season, and a great excuse to play with bright jewelled tones and sparkles.

Black and gold pairs amazingly with almost any colour. I usually go for reds, because red is such a holiday colour. This time, I opted for a navy blue. Blue, because it is different and unexpected, but also works.

I hope I inspired you to jump out of the box this holiday season!

Artillery Green

Hello! Happy Thursday everyone! It has been cold lately and I miss wearing dresses. Today was a slightly nicer day and without any hesitation I decided  to pull out a dress. This army green colour is great for fall, it plays with a fall hue and to add a subtle edge (making it less traditional), I added a leopard print belt.

Making Casual Chic

Happy Monday, I hope all is well. Today is a 'chill' day, but I still tried to dress up some basics to elevate my outfit.

I'm currently loving the knee-high rent right now; however, I have not yet been willing to splurge on a pair myself. I'm obsessed with these gorgeous pair of Stuart Weitzman ones, but they are quite pricey.

I pair knee-high socks with my books to create that over the knee effect.
