One Outfit Two Ways - Sleek Black Number

Hey lovelies! I'm doing something a little different today to show case how versatile your outfits can be. With a simple belt I can completely change the same outfit into two different looks. What I love about fashion and styling is that it makes me think outside of the box. As a blogger what is important to me is re-wearing items and re-styling pieces I already have, by introducing a new accessory or a jacket to spice things up. This is important not only through a sustainability lens, but its also really practical. Once I have my wardrobe basics (you can see my must have wardrobe basics here), new items I buy get integrated with those basics to build a wardrobe. For ever season, I buy fun new timeless and trendy pieces that I can pair with existing items.

A Twist on the Classic T-Shirt and Denim Skirt Pairing

Hey there lovelies! I've fell in love with light denim and grey recently. This neutral colour story is kind of everything. There is something super chic about pairing light neutrals together and it is fun getting out of my comfort zone of wearing blacks and whites. Can we also take the time to admire this adorable top? This gorgeous t-shirt from Banana Republic is not only luxe in material, but add as girly comfortable touch to an outfit and defiantly softens the edginess of this skirt. I love finding cute basics with interesting details to them.

Navy Ruffles and Sweet Curls

Hey there lovelies! Happy Friday! My life has forever changed for the better since I jumped on the 'highlight' bandwagon. Call me obsessed shall we! I'm in love with how my skin looks with highlighter on. I'm currently using the one by Tarte in Exposed and now I am super excited to try more. What I love about this time of year is that Sephora is releasing some of the holiday value packs and its a great opportunity to try something new (this isn't sponsored btw). I'm the kind of person who doesn't really like spending money on products I don't love, so this is an affordable way to test out products you've been eyeing. I also love this value pack for trying a Tarte highlight.

The world of fashion and beauty continues to intrigue me and there are new and exciting new discoveries to be found.

Lets Play with Different Structures - Flare and Asymmetrics

Hello lovlies! Now that the weather is getting colder, I'm super excited add layers and fun structures to my outfits. My style has changed through out the years, but I've always had an interest in angular and asymetrical pieces. Recently, I have focused much of my attention to higher quality fabrics, but affordable finds that are unique. My logic when buying items is how they would go with everything else that I own and how it is different.

The key proponent when playing with different structures is styling it among basics. Let the asymmetric hem lines and angular shoulders do all the talking.

How to Rock a Monochromatic Look

Hey lovelies! One of my most favourite pairings is an all black outfit with a pop of red. It's simple, sleek and of course very chic. It's my go-to for days I want to look put together, and the days I can't seem to find anything to wear. I could wear black everyday if I could. Ha!

I lived in this sweater all of winter and fall and I'm super excited to be wearing it agian. My tip for pulling off a monochromatic look is adding small pops of colour (a fun lip or a fun nail colour), and playing with different structures and textures.
