Spring Transition with Saint Laurent

Hey there lovelies!

I'm pulling pieces from my winter wardrobe today and styling them for this spring season. I love off the shoulder tops and skirts for spring and summer, so I styled them with some essentials from winter. The perfect way to transition your wardrobe is through layers and adding layers to keep you warm on chilly days. If you have cold, unpredictable weather like mine in the Pacific North West, you don't have to compromise your spring outfit for it. Tights and a coat are essential in this case. You can lighten your layers as the weather gets warmer with lighter coats and jackets (like opting for dusters and blazers). Tights, blazers, dusters and light jackets are the perfect transitional element to pave the path for spring.

Here are my outfit details:

It's Plain and Simple - LBD and Grey Thigh Highs

Hey there darlings,

Today I'm pairing a classic blazer and LBD with a chic pair of grey thigh-high boots. This chic and effortless pairing is perfect for the spring season. The over-sized blazer adds sophistication to a little black dress, while the grey boots keeps it stylish and trendy. Grey pairs exceptionally with black as a soft element of interest and I'm in love! I love pair a red lip or red nails with dark neutrals as it adds an extra point of interest. This look would also be perfect with a bold lip to match the nails. I'm also loving shirt dresses, they are so versatile and easy to wear. They are perfect with coats, rushed mornings and for work.

Dreaming of Burgundy - Bell Sleeves and Mixing Metals

Hey there lovelies!

I'm paring an edgy biker jacket with a girl dress today. Both pieces complement each other exceptionally well. The biker jacket toughens up the girly-bell sleeves, while the maintaining a feminine look. I'm obsessed with this pairing and I hope it inspire you too! This dress is not only versatile, but absolutely perfect for spring! A light jacket helps to add a hint of warmth while wearing fun girly-dresses.

Pearl Peplum and Vampy Burgundy

Hey there lovelies! Happy Thursday!

I'm a love of a monochromatic look; it is my perfect go-to on the days I simply just cannot find anything to wear. When I style a monochromatic look, I lean towards playing with textures rather than playing with colour. Therefore, when I shop I always look for black skirts with interesting detailing.

Faux pearl detailing has become a huge trend lately and I love it! There is something very chic and sophisticated when it comes to pearl accents. I'm loving the femininity it brings to an outfit. Faux pearls are the perfect contrast to an edgy/boyish outfit. As a girly-girl, I love a preppy outfit and faux pearls add a perfect lady-like element.

Here are some of my top picks for items with faux pearl detailing:

Darling Blues and Contemporary Asymmetrics - Finding My Voice

Fashion is about taking risks and making bold choices. It is about you, what inspires you and your voice.

Fashion is an alliance of our voices and they ways in which we inspire one another.

My style is very representative of the women I want to be and the girl boss I aspire to be. My fashion journey started as a child full of curiosity rummaging through her aunt’s perfume collection. I wore my cousin’s hand-me-downs and I aspired to be an artist. Growing up I was never the skirt-loving gal I am today. As an adolescent I had my favorite bright orange hoodie, and as a teenager I was the jeans and a hoodie kind of girl – I loved Hollister. This period full of change I was discovering my voice, who I wanted to be and what I wanted out of life. I fell in love with the Social Sciences and I discovered a sense of style.

With my style, I started feeling like I had a voice and I embraced every moment of it.

Fashion and style to me is about wearing what makes you feel confident. Confidence is your voice; it is what you are sure of and what you embrace. I wear what I love and I pair things together that are unique to me.

I hope you enjoyed this photo story.
