Hey lovelies! Today I want to dedicate this post to finding the perfect outfit for a first date. I want to highlight my tips and tricks to looking effortless, and giving a great first impression.
I feel like being comfortable and being yourself is key to any date and any place you want to give a lasting good impression. A key theme in this idea is confidence and being passionate about yourself, your hobbies and being excited about your own life. The perfect outfit should be supplementary to all the great things about you. Your outfit should be a mirror image of who you are and what you stand for.
The topic of conversation today and I hope its something that you get out of my posts is the notion of exerting confidence by owning who you are.
Here are my tips and tricks of finding the perfect outfit, without compromising your values:
The First Date:
They
key of having a fun and great date is not having expectation. Go into it open
minded and let this progress naturally.
What
I would wear to a first date or have a good first impression is something
causal, but something that looks like I put thought into it. In this case, I want to show my date that I am interested and that I’m also down to
earth.
This
means, wear whatever is comfortable to you, but at the same time would present
your best self. The right outfit should help you feel great about yourself in your own skin, because thats the point to a dates right? To be yourself and have someone be attracted to who you are.
An outfit is to compliment your personality, your hobbies and your achievements.
Depending on the season, I'd wear what I would wear everyday except I would add something a little more special. So, I would wear my new booties that I've been saving, or a new top.
At the end of the day, your date is not going to care about how dressed up you are or what designer bag you're using. They are going to care about getting to know you and your interests.
Date Night:
When
you have been in a relationship long enough, its nice to have those days where
you can feel a little bit more special and dress up a little bit.
I
feel like these are the times where you can get away with putting in lots of
effort. Bringing you’re A-game still helps to exert confidence. This is the
time where you can break out that YSL clutch and some fun heels. Treat yourself to a fun lipstick or why not even treat yourself to matching separates underneath to radiate sexiness and beauty from within. I personally love these.
